Our Origin & Vision
Faith City PDX began with a simple conviction: Portland deserves a space that restores dignity, builds belonging, and expands opportunity. As Portland natives and community builders, we’ve carried a deep burden and love for our city — especially for communities impacted by displacement, disinvestment, and instability.
Faith City is being developed as a community campus designed to host the city through culture, creativity, wellness, workforce pathways, and partner-led public programs. We believe transformation doesn’t happen through one event — it happens through consistent presence, excellent stewardship, and shared life.
Worship gatherings are one rhythm of Faith City’s life. We gather in worship and prayer because our faith shapes how we love, serve, and build — but participation in Faith City programs never requires religious affiliation or membership.
Faith City exists to help Portland thrive: spiritually grounded, community-centered, and city-facing.
Our Ethos
Faith City is built on a belief that people are sacred and cities can be healed through presence, service, beauty, and truth.
We believe:
every person has dignity, purpose, and value
community is formed through consistency, not hype
creativity is sacred work that shapes culture
excellence honors the city we serve
faith must be demonstrated through love, humility, and responsibility
we follow Yeshua and gather in worship as a sincere response to God
Faith City exists to host Portland in a way that is bold in faith and generous in service.
What we’re building
Our long-term vision is to establish Faith City PDX as a vibrant multi-use community campus for Portland — a place where culture, creativity, wellness, formation, and community life can thrive together.
Faith City is being designed to host the city: a shared space for public programming, partner-led initiatives, and gatherings that build belonging, expand opportunity, and strengthen neighborhoods. We are spiritually grounded, city-facing, and committed to excellence in every detail.
This includes:
• Gatherings & Worship Rhythm
Worship gatherings and community meals—including Fire By Night worship nights—alongside other campus-wide gatherings that build community and shared life.
• Nonprofit + Community Partner Space
Dedicated office and program space for nonprofits, community organizations, mentors, and partners who serve Portland through youth development, family support, workforce pathways, and community care.
• Creative + Cultural Spaces
Rehearsal, recording, event, and production space for artists, creatives, and teams—designed to nurture excellence, creativity, and meaningful expression.
• Youth + Young Adult Development
Mentorship, leadership development, life-skills training, and real-world exposure that equips young people with purpose, discipline, confidence, and direction.
• Wellness + Movement Programming
Space and programming that supports physical wellness, movement, and health—creating rhythms of restoration and strength for the community.
• Community Engagement + Activation
Consistent events and gatherings that bless the surrounding neighborhood, foster connection, and address real needs with practical care and dignity.
Faith City is being built as a place of gathering, growth, and sending — where people are formed inwardly and empowered outwardly to impact their families, neighborhoods, and the city.
Where we are Today
Faith City PDX is in an active season of formation—building the foundation needed to become a long-term community campus for Portland. Over recent months, we’ve taken intentional steps toward establishing a permanent home that can support culture, creativity, wellness, community programming, and worship gatherings as one rhythm of campus life.
Right now, our focus is on:
• securing strategic space for phased activation
• building partner relationships with nonprofits, creatives, and community leaders
• strengthening governance and operational readiness
• developing a safety and stewardship framework for consistent programming
• launching key gatherings that demonstrate excellence, hospitality, and community value
One of our upcoming public expressions is Fire By Night—a worship gathering designed to bring people together in an atmosphere of prayer, worship, and spiritual renewal. These nights will include intentional fellowship, with shared meals and refreshments offered as a practical expression of hospitality and connection.
As we move toward public launch, we remain committed to building with care, transparency, and purpose. We invite those interested in partnership, volunteering, or support to stay connected as the vision continues to take shape. Updates regarding Fire By Night and future gatherings will be shared on Instagram: @faithcitypdx.
