Our Story

Faith City was founded in 2025, emerging from prayer, vision, lived testimony, and a deep longing to see lives and families renewed through the gospel of Yeshua. What began as a personal conviction grew into a broader calling—to help cultivate a space where people could encounter the living presence of the Most High God in a way that is authentic, grounded, and transformative.

Though our story is just beginning, our foundation is ancient. We draw from the faith passed down through generations, honoring what came before us while responding to the unique assignment of this moment. Faith City is rooted not in religion for its own sake, but in truth, humility, spiritual formation, and relationship with God—seeking to live as followers of The Way in everyday life.

Faith City was envisioned as more than a ministry. It is a spiritual, cultural, and community hub—where worship, creativity, service, and fellowship intersect. A place where people from diverse backgrounds can gather, grow, ask honest questions, and walk forward together in faith and purpose.

Our history is still being written. We are a people committed to learning, serving, and moving forward with courage—hand in hand with God and with one another. Faith City is not the end of a story, but the beginning of one that continues to unfold.

What we believe

At Faith City, we believe in the Most High God—the Creator of heaven and earth—who reigns in holiness, power, justice, and perfect love. We believe that Yeshua, the Son of Man, came to reveal The Way: the path of truth, redemption, and restored relationship with God.

Through His life, obedience, sacrifice, and resurrection, we are invited into new life, renewed purpose, and reconciliation with the Father. We honor His original Hebrew name, Yeshua, while recognizing that the name Jesus is widely known and used; both refer to the same Messiah who saves, heals, and transforms lives.

We believe the Kingdom of God is real, active, and advancing—not only a future promise, but a present reality expressed through transformed lives, love in action, justice, healing, and hope.

We believe in the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of God who teaches, comforts, convicts, empowers, and leads us into truth. The Spirit is our guide and helper, equipping believers with spiritual gifts and enabling lives marked by faith, obedience, and compassion.

Faith City is Scripture-rooted and community-centered. We seek to live out our faith with humility, unity, courage, and love—grounded in God’s Word and expressed through service, worship, creativity, and authentic relationship.

“Our mission is to equip believers to understand and articulate their faith, to live lives that reflect God’s grace, and to participate in the ongoing work of the Great Commission—to go into the world and share the good news of the Kingdom, meeting people where they are and walking with them as they grow in new life through Christ” -Founder

(Matthew 28:19–20).

What we’re building

Our long-term vision is to establish Faith City as a vibrant, multi-use spiritual, cultural, and community hub in the Vanport/Delta Park area.

We are building a place designed to serve both God and the city—a shared space where worship, creativity, formation, and community life can thrive together. Faith City is envisioned as a hub that supports multiple expressions of faith while remaining rooted in Scripture and spiritual purpose.

This includes:

• Worship Gatherings & Formation

Regular worship gatherings, including Fire By Night worship nights, centered on prayer, teaching, fellowship, and shared meals that cultivate authentic community.

• Support for Ministries & Worship Communities

A home base that supports multiple ministries, worship teams, and faith-centered gatherings through shared space, collaboration, and mutual encouragement.

• Creative & Worship Arts Spaces

Rehearsal, recording, and event space for worship teams, Christian artists, and creatives—designed to nurture excellence, creativity, and spiritual expression.

• Youth & Young Adult Development

Mentoring, discipleship, and educational classes that equip youth and young adults with spiritual foundation, life skills, and purpose.

• Community Engagement

Community events and gatherings that bless the surrounding neighborhood, foster connection, and serve real needs in practical and relational ways.

• Spiritual Formation & Equipping

An environment where believers are equipped with biblical understanding, spiritual awareness, and confidence to live out and share their faith with wisdom, humility, and love.

Faith City is being built as a place of gathering, growth, and sending—where people are formed inwardly and empowered outwardly to impact their families, neighborhoods, and the city.

Where we are Today

Faith City is in an active season of formation—laying a strong foundation rooted in prayer, vision, and meaningful partnership. Over recent months, intentional steps have been taken toward establishing a permanent home that will support worship, creativity, and community life.

One of our upcoming expressions is Fire By Night, a worship gathering designed to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together in an atmosphere of prayer, worship, and spiritual renewal. These gatherings are envisioned to include intentional fellowship, with shared meals and refreshments offered as a practical expression of hospitality, service, and community connection.

As Faith City prepares for its public launch, we remain committed to building with care, transparency, and purpose. We invite those interested to stay connected and follow along as the vision continues to take shape. Updates regarding Fire By Night and future gatherings will be shared through our social platforms, including Instagram at @faithcitypdx.
